About Kredete

Kredete is a global finance platform serving the African diaspora and the broader cross-border payments market. Founded in 2023, Kredete combines international money transfers, multi-currency accounts, card issuing, credit-building tools, and stablecoin infrastructure into a single platform, enabling users to send, spend, save, invest, and build credit across 50+ markets worldwide.

Kredete is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking, card issuing, and money transmission services are delivered through regulated partner institutions in each jurisdiction where Kredete operates.

Purpose of This Document

This document describes the IT systems, infrastructure, and architecture underpinning the Kredete platform. It is intended for internal engineering and compliance teams, partner financial institutions, external auditors, and prospective enterprise clients who require a structured reference on how the platform is built, deployed, secured, and operated.

It supersedes any prior infrastructure documentation that was derived from third-party or legacy payment-engine templates. Where earlier drafts referenced generic white-label constructs (e.g. "ReactivePay", "Flexy", "rpay-core"), this redraft replaces them with the actual Kredete architecture and component names.

Document Scope

The scope of this document covers:

  • The high-level system architecture of the Kredete platform.
  • The core services and their responsibilities.
  • Data flows, sensitive-data handling, and the ledger model.
  • Integrations with third-party providers across banking, cards, credit, compliance, and crypto.
  • The hosting, networking, deployment, and environment topology.
  • Security and compliance controls, including PCI DSS obligations.
  • Operational practices: monitoring, incident response, change management, and backup and recovery.

Out of Scope

This document does not cover individual API endpoint specifications, detailed data schemas, or partner-specific integration contracts. Those are maintained in separate technical documentation and are made available to integrators under the relevant agreements.
